CYRIL BOSWORTH, Obituary

Cyril "Cy" E. Bosworth, 79, retired Bureau of Reclamation and later Havre department of energy employee, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at a Havre care center of natural causes.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside memorial service with full military honors is 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. John Chapman officiating at the Highland Cemetery.

Cy was born Jan. 4, 1923, to Earl and Mabel (Spicknel) Bosworth at Scobey. He attended school in Scobey.

Cy was a World War II Army veteran and received numerous medals including the Purple Heart. He was honorably discharged. He worked on the Air Force radar base power line north of Havre.

On Nov. 10, 1947, he married Albertine McIntosh at Havre. After the wedding, the couple lived in Havre. He worked for the City of Havre with the department of energy. They later moved to Chester and ran Cy's Chevron Service Station and Fishing Equipment. Cy retired and closed the service station down and they moved back to Havre.

Cy's hobbies included fly-fishing, hunting and tying flies.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Albertine E. Bosworth of Havre; brother, Merril Bosworth of Havre; son, Dexter S. Bosworth of Havre; and one grandson.

Memorials in Cy's honor may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
