RAYMOND STIMPS, Obituary

SHELBY Raymond J. Stimps, 94, of Shelby, an inventor and radio repair technician, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, at a Shelby care center.

Memorial services were scheduled for 11 a.m. today at the Whitted Funeral Chapel with burial of ashes in the Mountain View Cemetery.

Ray was born March 12, 1908, at Havre, where he grew up, graduated from high school and attended college for two years. Ray moved to Shelby in the 1920s, where he owned and operated a radio repair business until his retirement in the 1980s.

He married Mildred L. Sauby on April 3, 1935, at Great Falls. She died Sept. 9, 1991.
