JUSTIN OVERCAST, Obituary

CHINOOK Justin William Overcast, 23, of Chinook died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at a Bozeman hospital of cardiac arrest.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chinook High School Lloyd Sweet Auditorium. Burial is to follow in the Kuper Memorial Cemetery.

Justin was born on June 26, 1979, in Havre to Don and Judy (Terlend) Overcast. He attended schools in Zurich and Chinook. He graduated from Chinook High School in 1997. During his high school years, he was very active in the FFA program and achieved many awards including the American Degree, the highest honor bestowed on an FFA member. He helped out on the family farm while in school and worked one summer during college at the Farmer's Union Oil Co. in Chinook.

Justin attended Montana State University in Bozeman and graduated in December 2001 with a degree in crop science and a minor in ag business. Upon graduation, he went to work as a program technician at the Farm Service Agency in Chinook.

Justin was an avid MSU Bobcat fan and enjoyed socializing with people. He enjoyed cars, especially Ford Mustangs, and helped his father restore a 1971 Mustang.

Survivors include his parents, Don and Judy Overcast of Chinook; sister, Jessica Overcast of Chinook; fiance, Jessica Frank of Chinook; paternal grandparents, Bill and LaVeda Overcast of Chinook; maternal grandparents, Pete and Pat Terlend of Columbus; aunt, Barb (Don) Swenson of Chinook; and uncle, Gene (Dee) Terlend.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
