DOLORES WICKLUND, Obituary

HAVRE/CASPER, Wyo. Dolores Y. Wicklund, 68, a retired surgical nurse, died Friday, Nov. 15, in Lincoln, Neb., from injuries received in an automobile accident on Oct. 31.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Adams Memorial Chapel with interment in the Malta Cemetery.

Dolores was born Nov. 2, 1934, at Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Cecil and Gertrude (Young) Green. She was raised and educated in Malta, Chinook, and Havre.

She married Marvin D. Wicklund on Aug. 11, 1951, in Joplin. They had three children Linda, Michael, and Tina. They lived in the Flathead Lake area and were divorced in 1969.

Dolores attended night school and received her LPN degree in 1971. In 1972, she started working in Havre and retired from Northern Montana Hospital in 1997. She was a surgical nurse for the last 25 years.

She moved to Casper after retiring and enjoyed making quilts and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Wicklund; mother, Gertrude Heimbigner, on June 14, 2002; father, Cecil Green; brother, Raymond; and sister, Geraldine.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Wicklund of Crookston, Neb., and Tina (Jesse) Powell of Casper, Wyo.; brothers, Lyal Green of Astoria, Ore., and Larry Thrash of Eugene, Ore.; sister, Lyla Akerlund of Havre; four granddaughters; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
