CECIL LEO, Obituary

Cecil L. Leo, 100, retired housewife, died Nov. 22, 2002, at Issaquah, Wash., of natural causes, two weeks after celebrating her 100th birthday.

Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Messiah Lutheran Church with the Rev. Coleen Grass officiating.

Cecil was born Nov. 8, 1902, to Lars and Sarah (Fergeson) Holland in Aneta, N.D. She was one of 15 children.

In April of 1921 she married James Leo in Malta. The couple moved to Havre in 1949. James preceded her in death in 1978. In August of 2000, Cecil moved to Issaquah, Wash., to be near her family.

Cecil was a charter member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Havre, and a member of the Rebekkah Lodge and the Women's Faith Circle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leo; daughter, Stella Tyldesley; and 14 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen Vandeberg of Issaquah, Wash.; stepson, Joe Leo of Aberdeen, Wash.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials in Cecil's honor may be made to a memorial of one's choice.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
