Skylight spikers earn all-league honors

Two of the Montana State University-Northern volleyball team's most consistent performers earned all-conference honors for the 2002 Frontier Conference volleyball season.

Tanja Bruski and Tamecia Watkins received all-conference kudos for their performances this past season.

Bruski, a junior middle blocker from Billings, was named to the second team. Watkins, a senior from Scottsdale, AZ, played her only season of college volleyball after competing strictly in basketball. She was named honorable mention while also picking up Newcomer of the Year honors.

Besides Bruski and Watkins, freshman Brandy Pushka was named to the Frontier all-freshman team. Pushka, an outside hitter from Angusville, Manitoba was one of six players named to the all-frosh team.

UM-Western senior outside hitter Katie Stokes shared conference MVP honors with Carroll College setter Natalie Conroy. Western's Katherine Sunwall was named the Freshman of the Year, while Western coach Jenny Peterson earned coach of the year honors.
