JOSEPH K. HOFER, Obituary

HARLEM Joseph K. Hofer Sr., 84, senior pastor of the North Harlem Hutterian Brethren Church in Harlem, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at the North Harlem Colony on Thursday at 1 p.m. with interment to follow in the North Harlem Colony cemetery.

Joseph was born in Hutchinson County in South Dakota to Joshua and Elizabeth Hofer on Oct. 18, 1918. He was raised and educated in Menno, S.D. He immigrated to Stirling, Alberta, Canada, in 1930.

Joseph married Katie Stahl on July 4, 1940. In 1947 they moved to Danvers and in 1963 they moved to Harlem.
