LINDA G. BILGER, Obituary

CHINOOK Linda G. Bilger, 55, died on Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at a Great Falls hospital due to complications from cancer.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the American Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Spencer officiating.

Linda was born on Sept. 26, 1947, in Havre to Herbert and Alva (Norberg) Hofeldt. She graduated from Chinook High School in 1966. She worked in Seattle until returning to Chinook in 1971, where she worked at the Tastee Bite Cafe and the Steakhouse.

Linda married William P. Bilger on Feb. 14, 1971, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She continued working at the Steakhouse and also was a custodian at the Chinook High School. She loved her grandchildren, and enjoyed crafts, sewing, dancing, bowling, flowers and camping.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Bilger of Chinook; daughters, Carla Elias and Vanessa Surber, both of Chinook, Kim Goff of Dickinson, N.D.; brother, Michael Hofeldt of Helena; sisters, Lana Stearns of Dickinson, N.D., Leah Stokes and Nancy Means, both of Casper, Wyo.; four grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook.
