Big Sandy, Blue Sky pace district 9C race

With the Holiday season over, all of the area Hi-Line girls high school basketball teams returned to action this weekend.

Thursday night in Harlem, the Glasgow Scotties routed the Harlem Lady Wildcats 60-44. Harlem led 6-5 at the end of the first quarter, but the Scotties used a 24-11 second quarter run to pull away for good. The Wildcats were led by Megan Walls' 13 points and Leslie Horn added 8.

In Chester, the host Coyotes trounced the KG KouGars 61-30. The Coyotes outscored the KouGars 22-8 in the second period which gave them an almost insurmountable 31-10 halftime lead.
