Residents of the Havre area now have access to the city's five departments from within the comfort of their own homes, via a new Web site.

Development of a city Web site was an early goal of Havre Mayor Bob Rice, who said the site is still a work in progress.

"It's not fully functional yet," Rice said Friday, projecting that the completed Web page will list scheduled meeting dates and times of the City Council committees, as well as minutes of previous council meetings. That should help keep taxpayers informed about important issues in local...
