CAROL SNODDY OBITUARY

Carol Snoddy of Helena died on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at her home.

A church service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Helena. There will be a private family interment of cremains in Havre at a later date.

Carol was born on Feb. 27, 1938, to Guy and Muriel Maberry in Great Falls. She graduated from Havre High School in 1956.

In 1956, she met David Snoddym and they were married June 28, 1957. They owned Valley Machinery, Hi-Lane Auto Center, and the C&D professional building in Havre.

In 1964, she was chosen as the youngest delegate to the Republican National Convention. She was an active member of the Rainbow Girls and Shrine organizations. For 13 years, she served as mother adviser of Havre Assembly No. 30. She also was a member of the Grand Cross of Color and the Daughters of the Nile.

Carol was an elder with the First Presbyterian Church in Helena. She donated her time to underprivileged children helping each week with the "Lessons and Loaves" program. She also sang in the church choir.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, David, daughter Judith Snoddy and her parents, Guy and Muriel Maberry.

She is survived by: sister, Diane (Don) Fresh of Port Huneme, Calif .; daughters, Deborah (Kerry) Brown of Helena, Rebecca Peterson and her finance, Fred Rice, of Havre, and Nancy (Kevin) Kallem of Laurel; and eight grandchildren.

Hagler-Anderson Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
