DEBORAH JEAN HOBBS Obituary

POLSON - Deborah Jean Hobbs, 39, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at a Kalispell medical center from an automobile accident.

A memorial service will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Polson Middle School.

Deborah was born in Burns, Ore., to Charles and Donna (Beuthe) Grice on May 11, 1963. She was raised in western Montana, attending elementary school in Townsend. She earned her GED in Great Falls and attended the May Technical Medical College where she studied to become a medical secretary. She also completed the reserve deputy basic training in Polson.

Deborah married Wayne Hobbs in Havre in 1984. She worked as a CNA in Havre, for the Easter Seals and United Parcel Service in Great Falls, at the Billings Clinic, and was a department manager for Wal-Mart in Polson and a reserve deputy sheriff for Lake County in Polson.

Deborah was active in Relay for Life, the food bank, Toys for Tots, the Festival of Trees and many more activities. She enjoyed her family, hunting, fishing and camping.

Deborah was preceded in death by a baby sister; brother, Charles Steven Grice; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Hobbs of Polson; parents, Charles and Donna Grice of Polson; stepson, Shaun Hobbs of Seattle; sisters, Alice Blankenship of Falcon, Mo., and Tina Littlefield of Great Falls; brother, Paul Grice of Polson; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Mortuary and Crematory.
