AGNES PARKER

ROCKY BOY - Agnes Parker, 77, of Rocky Boy died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at a Havre care center of natural causes.

Wake services began Sunday at 4 p.m. with the funeral service scheduled for 10 a.m. today, all at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with the Rev. Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial was to follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery.

Agnes was born Aug. 29, 1925, in Great Falls to Joe and Josephine (Walking Child) Alexander. Agnes moved to Rocky Boy in 1943 with her family.

She married Robert Parker Sr. Jan. 3, 1946. They had six children and raised one adopted daughter.

Agnes was a homemaker well known for her beadwork and quilt making. She loved teaching the Cree language and traditions. She also enjoyed playing hand game. Her generosity, spirit and humor will be missed by all those who had the privilege to know her.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Parker Sr .; parents, Joe Alexander and Josephine Walking Child; maternal grandmother, Day Sitting Walking Child; and brothers, Corkie Cocoran and Robert Alexander.

Survivors include her sons and daughters, Edmund (Laverne) Parker of Aberdeen, S.D., Kenny (Phyllis) Parker of Great Falls, Robert (Janice) Parker Jr., Renee (Mike) Poolaw, Martin (Judy) Parker, Cecelia (Bing) Ahenakew and Ashley Parker, all of Rocky Boy; numerous brothers and sisters; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
