PeeWee squad takes fourth at state

The Havre Ice Hawk Independence Bank Pee Wee A hockey team finished fourth at the Pee Wee State tournament in Billings on Feb-14-16.

The Ice Hawks finished the tournament with a 1-3 record losing in overtime to the Missoula Bruins, 6-5, in the tournament consolation game.

Todd Roe scored two goals and passed out two assists to lead the Ice Hawks. Mason Sheppard added a pair of goals while Shane Kemmer added Havre's other goal. Cam Schilling had 21 saves in goal in the loss.

Havre opened the tournament with a tough 7-2 loss to tournament champ Billings. Roe and Ryan Armstrong scored the Ice Hawks' only goals. Schilling had a busy game in the net stopping 45 shots.

The Ice Hawks rebounded with a 5-1 win over the Helena Bighorns. Roe had the hot stick with two goals and two assists. Sheppard also scored two goals and added an assist. Schilling stopped 14 shots on goal.

Havre lost again on Saturday morning as they fell to Great Falls, 7-3. Roe scored two goals and added an assist while Kemmer score Havre's other goal. Schilling had 28 saves for the Ice Hawks.
