Area hoopsters take talents to Sheraton Senior Classic

The best senior basketball players in the state will invade Billings today for the Sheraton Senior Boys Basketball Classic. The tournament, which runs for four days will feature regional all-star teams from Class AA, Class A, Class B and Class C.

And as usual, the Hi-Line will be well represented at the tournament.

Havre High senior Ryan Lusin will play for the Class A Central squad which features players from the Central A division including Browning's Alvin Yellow Owl and Kellen Hall and is coached by Butte Central's Chunky Thatcher.

In Class B, Harlem's fine senior trio of Chris Cole, Colby Fetter and Hank Brockie will represent the Class B North Squad. Also on the squad is Chinook's Casey Schmitt. The Class B North will be coached by Brian Kavanagh of the Class B State Champion Cut Bank and former Havre High standout and current Shelby coach Tom Reynolds.

The Class C North squad will have three players from the area suiting up. Casey Crites of District 9C champion KG will join his coach Charlie Robinson on the team. Also representing the 9C is Blue Sky's Mitch McKinley. Justin Johnson of J-I, one of the top scorers in District 10C will also be on the squad.
