Morinia, Ereaux, Stuart earn Frontier all-conference honors

A pair of Montana State University-Northern men's basketball players earned all-conference honors for their efforts this past season.

Junior guard Larry Morinia was named to the first team while senior forward Charlie Ereaux earned honorable mention.

Morinia, who came to Northern from Lamar Community College in New Mexico, led the Frontier in scoring for much of the season and ended the season in second place with an average of 19.1 points per game. He started 31 of 32 games for the Lights this season, and shot 43 percent from the field, including 40 percent from three-point range, while leading Northern with 39 steals.

Ereaux averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds a game this season while providing leadership on and off the floor. He started all but two games, and shot 52 percent from the field, including 39 percent from three-point range. Ereaux shot 84 percent from the free-throw line, which was third best in the conference.

Former KG star Jake Stuart was also named to the first team. Stuart, who helped lead Rocky Mountain College to a Frontier Conference tournament championship this weekend, was one of three Rocky players named to the team. Stuart averaged 16.2 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 38 percent from three-point range.

Westminster's Matt Sparrow was named Frontier Conference player of the year, while his coach, Tommy Connor, was named conference coach of the year.
