HMS choirs perform

The Havre Middle School assembly room will ring with the sounds of motion pictures during a concert that begins Thursday at 7 p.m.

The sixth-grade choir students will sing and dance to songs like "I'm a Believer" and "The Best Years of Our Lives" from the motion picture "Shrek."

Select vocal ensembles also will perform. The Troubadours, the seventh-grade boys group, will sing "I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow" from "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" The Treble-Aires, a girls group, will perform a medley of tunes from "My Best Friend's Wedding," including "Wishin' and Hopin'." The Spotlighters, an eighth-grade mixed group, will sing songs from "Sister Act II: "O, Happy Day," "Joyful, Joyful" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."

The six eighth-grade students who just returned from singing in the Montana Youth Sing in Lewistown will perform one of their songs, "Memory" from the movie musical "Cats."

The concert is free and the public is invited.
