ANTHONY KOLOGI obituary

GREAT FALLS - Anthony John Kologi, 93, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at a Havre care facility of natural causes.

A funeral service is 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the O'Conner Funeral Chapel in Great Falls with the Rev. Patrick Zabrocki officiating. The burial will follow the funeral service at

the Highland Cemetery in Great Falls.

Anthony was born Sept. 9, 1909, to Joseph and Lena (Schneider) Kologi at Long Prairie, Minn. When he was 6 years old, Anthony's family moved to Cascade and later to Great Falls with his father's job. He attended St. Peter's Mission in Cascade, St. Thomas Elementary in Great Falls, and graduated as salutatorian from St. Mary's High School in Great Falls in 1928.

On Aug. 1, 1932, Anthony married Ethyl Genevieve Belote at Great Falls. Anthony worked for American Furniture, Great Falls Brewery, Anaconda Smelter, Public Drug, and Eddy Bakeries, all in Great Falls. He lived in Great Falls for 88 years. He moved to Eagles Manor in Havre 1997, and then the Northern Montana Care Center in Havre.

Anthony enjoyed fly-fishing, photography, bowling, as well as pickling and smoking fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lena (Schneider) Kologi; wife, Ethyl Belote Kologi; sister, Mary Kologi Reynolds; son, Anthony Lee Kologi.

Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Cassie Kologi of Idaho Falls, Idaho; son, Ron (Bev) Kologi of Havre; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Memorials in Anthony's honor may be made to a person's choice.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home in Havre.
