SHARON CLAWSON obituary

Sharon Lee Clawson, 59, of Havre, church secretary/receptionist, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at a Great Falls hospital after a long fight with cancer.

Cremation has taken place. The celebration of her life is 5 p.m. today at the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Parr officiating. There will be a fellow-

ship reception following the celebration of her Life at the church. There will be a private family burial of ashes at a later date.

Sharon was born Sept. 21, 1943, to Richard William and Hazel Elaine (Kibbee) Teske at Tacoma, Wash. She graduated from Shoreline High School in Seattle in 1962. She also attended college in Seattle.

On Aug. 23, 1969, Sharon married Sam E. Clawson in Seattle. To this union, three children were born. The couple moved to Haugan, Judith Gap, Alberton, and finally to Havre.

Sharon was the secretary/receptionist at the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church for many years before her illness. She was active in United Methodist Women, the Joyful Sound Bell Choir, and played Notes D&E.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Hazel Teske; stepmother, Anna Teske; sister, Delores Shutte.

Survivors include her husband, Sam E. Clawson of Havre; children, Sheila Alefteras of Havre, Samantha Clawson of Missoula, Sabrina Clawson of Eugene, Ore.; sisters, Peggy (Richard) Smith of Brair, Wash., Sheila (Daryl) Harper of Toledo, Wash., Barbara Libby of Lynnwood, Wash., Carol (Gary) Hansen of Marysville, Wash., Margaret ("Butch") Martin of Vancouver, Wash.; brothers, Richard (Bev) Teske of Hayden, Idaho, and Ray (Carol) Kibbee of New Hampshire; one grandchild, Jordan Alefteras; nieces and nephews too numerous to count; many "adopted" children, grandchildren, sisters, and the entire congregation at the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
