Spring weather wreaks havoc on local leagues

As is typical of springtime in Havre, the weather wreaked havoc with Beaver Creek Golf Course conditions and its golf leagues this past week. Rain, snow and cold temperatures kept organized golf at a premium in Havre over the week, but players were able to get in two of the three league nights.

Tuesday night men's league was canceled due to inclement weather, but the course was playable for Wednesday night league. High team honors were shared between the teams of Clausen and Sons and Beaver Creek Golf Course with 21.5 total points. Clausen's is composed of Terry Schend, Dave Clausen, Steve McLain and Buzz Pizzini. BCGC is made up of Rick Ervin, Matt Slade, Art Weyh and Jim Moodie. Low gross honors went to Tom Adams with a 1-under-par 35, and Tom Haas took home low net score with a 30.5.

Despite cold temperatures and wet conditions, the ladies also got their Thursday night league in. 15 West took home high team honors with 29.5 total team points. Low gross went to Carol Culp with a 49 and low net honors went to Patti Nault with a 30.5.
