TRUMAN COLLINS obituary

ROCKY BOY - Truman Joseph Collins, 65, died Thursday, May 15, 2003, of natural causes in his home.

A rosary and wake service was held Tuesday evening at the St. Mary's Catholic Church at Rocky Boy. A funeral Mass was scheduled for 10 a.m. today at the St. Mary's Catholic Church with a committal rite to follow the Mass at the Rocky Boy Cemetery.

Truman was born Sept. 18, 1937, in Browning to Jess and Adeline Collins Sr. He spent his childhood in and around Rocky Boy and Browning where he attended school. He also attended school in Pierre, S.D., and Flandreau, S.D. He graduated from high school in 1956. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served four years as a machinist. After his military service he traveled and worked extensively in the continental United States as a machinist. He later settled in the Seattle area and started his own machine shop, The Stardust Machine Shop in Kent, Wash.

Truman was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Adeline Collins, and a niece.

Survivors include his brothers, Jesse Collins of Missoula and Charles Collins of Rapid City, S.D .; sister, Karen Morsette of Rocky Boy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home in Havre.
