ERIC HANSEN obituary

CHINOOK - Eric Peter Hansen, 26, died unexpectedly on May 15, 2003, at his residence in Glendale, Ariz. due to complications of diabetes.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Chinook American Lutheran Church with burial following in the Harlem Cemetery.

Eric was born in Havre to Kurt and the late Adele (Hedstrom) Hansen on April 4, 1977. He attended elementary school in Harlem, junior high in Chinook, and graduated from Chinook High School in 1995. He attended Montana State University-Northern in Havre and Devry Institute in Phoenix, Ariz.

Eric worked for Staples Home Center in Phoenix. He was very athletic and enjoyed golfing, playing basketball and swimming. Eric and his father were avid Green Bay Packer fans. Eric had a strong love for the Lord and was an active member of the American Lutheran Church. His love and kindness toward all people, friends or strangers, radiated throughout his life. He will be remembered for the warm smile he had for everyone.

Eric is preceded in death by his mother, Adele; and paternal grandfather, Kenneth Hansen.

Survivors include his parents, Kurt and Ginger Hansen of Chinook; sister, Cindy Hansen of Houston, Texas; paternal grandmother, Elsie Hansen of Harlem; maternal grandparents, Al and Evelyn Hedstrom of Harlem; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Chinook American Lutheran Church.
