LUKE BLACKWELL obituary

Luke Clayton Blackwell, 11, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, in a tragic auto accident north of Zurich.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church in Havre with burial following at 5 p.m. in the Forsyth Cemetery at Forsyth.

Luke was born on Nov. 17, 1991, to Michael and Loreena (Reena Gilje) Blackwell in Port Angeles, Wash. He lived with his family in the coastal Pacific Northwest and Forsyth. Then later attended his first school years in Mandan, N.D., and Havre.

Luke was one of a kind and charmed everyone he met with his wit and endearing personality. He lived to fish, hunt, and play football with his best friend, his dad.

Survivors include his parents, Michael and Loreena Blackwell of Havre; brother, Beau of Havre; sister, MacKena of Havre; great-grandmothers, Alice Phillips of Forsyth and Maggie Blackwell of Humboldt, Tenn.; grandparents, Dave and Helen Blackwell of Humboldt, Tenn., Keith and Vicki Gilje of Forsyth, and Tony and Roxane Hepker of Maple Valley, Wash.; uncles, Clay, Wade and Michael; aunts, Sherri, Misty, Jodi and Jolynn; and 16 cousins.

Memorials in honor of Luke may be made to the Fifth Avenue Christian Church or to the Havre Hunter Safety Program.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
