Northstars split games against Miners

The Havre Northstars picked up a split against a solid Lethbridge Miner team in Northern District action in Lethbridge on Monday. Havre's other scheduled doubleheader against Fort MacLeod was rained out on Tuesday.

The Northstars used a seven-run second inning to defeat the Miners 12-6 in the opening game of the doubleheader.

Havre pounded out five hits and capitalized on four Miner errors in the inning to grab a commanding 8-0 lead.
