SHIRLIN WOODS obituary

ROCKY BOY - Shirlin Lee Woods, 38, Inidan name Sha Bey Wah-ooo (White Buffalo Woman), died Saturday, June 7, 2003, at a hospital in Seattle, Wash., due to liver failure.

Wake Services will started Wednesday afternoon at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church. A funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with the Rev.

Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery.

Holland and Bonine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Shirlin was born Feb. 23, 1965, to Tony and Shirley Chandler Woods Sr. in Helena. She achieved her GED in 1994.

Shirlin enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Chandris, playing bingo, reading, doing crafts and listening to music. As a youth she was a champion fancy dancer.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jim Chandler and Walter A. Denny.

Shirlin is survived by her daughter, Chandris Woods of Bonner; parents, Tony and Shirley (Chandler) Woods Sr. of Great Falls; brothers, Tony Jr. (Michelle) of Great Falls, Mike (Thea) of Sioux City, Iowa; Troy (Fawn) of Polson, Shawn of Cody, Wyo., Chandler of Great Falls; sister, Virgalene LaMere of Great Falls; lifetime partner, Robert Brester of Bonner; maternal grandmother, Mary A. Denny of Great Falls; paternal grandmother, Sue Fremont of Macy, Neb .; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
