ELDON SWENSON obituary

FAIRVIEW, Utah - Eldon Dwaine "Swens" Swenson, 80, died at Mt. Pleasant, Utah, on June 14, 2003.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Fairview First Ward Chapel. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.

Interment will be in the Fairview City Cemetery under the direction of Magleby-Rasmussen Mortuary.

Dwaine was born May 21, 1923 in LaSal, Utah, to Anthere Mills and John Swenson. He grew up in Fairview, Utah, where he graduated from North Sanpete High in 1941. He served for a short time, in the U.S. Army during World War II before being medically discharged.

He moved to Havre in 1948 and, except for a short move to Salt Lake City, lived there until he retired in 1990, when he returned to Fairview. While in Havre, he was employed at Don's Medical Pharmacy in the camera department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Shirley Swenson, Ross Naef and Harry Swenson; sister, Wilma Naef Vance Anderson.

Survivors include his sisters, Ora (Swenson) Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Utah, Vanetta (Naef) Jonasen of Ephraim, Utah, Helen (Swenson) Syndergaard of Rock Springs, Wyo., Ronna Lee (Vern) Swenson Torgerson of Richfield, Utah, and Jay L (Afton) Swenson of Kearney, Neb.; sister-in-law, Barbara Swenson of Whittier, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
