First half of men's league comes to end

The Havre men's league golf association completed the first half of its regular season this week as four teams from both Tuesday and Wednesday night earned automatic berths into this fall's league championship playoffs.

The team of Bob Peake and Ryan Mapes also turned in a round of 57, but Kato and Scharfe garnered first-place honors by capturing the second playoff hole. The team of Gene Harada and Kevin Olson came in third place with a 58.

Aside from winning the tournament, Kato also captured low-gross honors for the day with a 2-under-par 70. Gene Harada earned low-net honors for the tournament with a net score of 62.
