Northwest Energy, Lions Club take titles

NorthWestern Energy and the Lions Club captured the girls city fastpitch softball titles this weekend.

NorthWestern Energy was a perfect 3-0 on the weekend as it cruised to the A League title.

After receiving a first-round bye, NorthWestern defeated Edward Jones 15-4 in quarterfinal action and then defeated Serv-Ur-Self Furniture 12-7 in the first semifinal.

Serv-Ur-Self then fell to Edward Jones in the second semifinal, 15-8. Edward Jones, which fought its way back into the semifinals with a pair of wins in the loser-out bracket, couldn't pull off an upset in the championship as NorthWestern...
