Patrick was born Jan. 21, 1941, to Carl A. and Mary L. (Mason) at the family homestead in Opheim. The family later moved to Glasgow and then to Havre. He attended St. Jude Catholic School. For the first two years he took his sister, Wanda, with him. The sisters requested that Wanda remain home because she had a photographic memory and the students were complaining about trying to keep up with a person four years younger. The bad part was Wanda was required to "repeat" the first two grades which really made her mad. Pat Graduated in 1959 from Havre Central High School. He then attended and graduated from electronics school in Salt Lake City, then took more specified training in Mississippi. While in high school, he worked at the brickyard and as a mechanic apprentice.

After graduation from electronics school, he worked for the Electrical Machine Company in Minneapolis, until he was transferred to Georgia. After a short time in Georgia, he returned to Havre and worked for the BNSF Railway. He retired in February of this year after more than 20 years of service.

His hobbies included the stock market, the "Retired Coffee Club," tinkering with electronics, and visiting.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary Ehry, and sister, Wanda McKnight Staples.

Survivors include his sisters, Mary K. Ehry of Havre and "Maggie" (Leon) Heller of Fargo, N.D.; brothers, Jack (Linda) Ehry Spokane, Wash., and Larry (Hazel) Ehry of Deer Lodge; four nieces, four nephews; three greatnephews, and one greatniece.
