LAMARR REYNOLDS obituary

LaMarr Knox Reynolds, 79, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at a Havre care facility of natural causes.

A graveside service will be held at the Oakmont Memorial Park Cemetery, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette, Calif., at a later date. Cremation has taken place.

LaMarr was born Feb. 27, 1924, in Sacramento, Calif., to Xen V. and Gladys B. (Drook) Reynolds. He attended Fremont High School in Oakland, Calif., graduating in 1943. While attending high school, LaMarr was in a program that allowed him to attend school for four hours each day and work in the shipyards for eight hours. After graduation he continued working in the shipyards until an injury forced his retirement. He also had a sidewalk newsstand in Oakland for six to seven years. In 1978 he moved to Havre to be near his brother, Dr. Stuart A. Reynolds. He began living at the Eagles Manor. In 1994 he was moved to the Northern Montana Hospital Long Term Health Care Facility, then to the Northern Montana Care Center.

LaMarr was preceded in death by his parents, Xen and Gladys (Drook) Reynolds.

He is survived by one brother, Dr. Stuart (Ginny) Reynolds of Havre, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials in LaMarr's honor may be made to a person's choice.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home of Havre.
