Heritage Center will feature photos

Havre photographer Jeanette K. Williams will exhibit her work at the Heritage Center from Aug. 26 through Sept. 13.

A wine and cheese reception will be held Aug. 26 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Williams, a Montana native, was born in Glasgow, grew up in Lustre and has made her home in Havre since 1971. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for Northern Montana Hospital from 1973 to 1981, and has since worked in the motorcycle dealership that she and her husband own.

Photography had always been a passion and a hobby for Williams, but after she took a photography class from Joel Soiseth at Montana State University-Northern in 1998, it became more.

Williams began showing and selling framed prints in 2001. She has won several blue ribbon awards on a variety of subjects: landscape, animals, florals, buildings and more.

Displays of her work also are available for viewing at Bob's Cycle World, 710 W. First St. in Havre.
