JOSEPH DESCHARME obituary

ROCKY BOY - Joseph Alloysius Descharme, 56, died Sept. 29, 2003, at a hospital in Flagstaff, Ariz., due to leukemia.

A wake service will begin this afternoon at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church and the funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with the Rev. Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will follow at the Descharme Family Cemetery.

Joseph was born on Sept. 29, 1944 at Fort Belknap to James and Anna Rose (Sangrey) Descharme. He was raised in Rocky Boy and Helena. He spent most of his school years in Busby. After high school, he attended a trade school in Roswell, N.M.

He met Alice Henderson at Roswell and they married. The couple moved to Tsaile, Arizona where they spent most of their married lives and raised their family.

Joe's favorite things in life were his grandchildren and fishing. He loved to do activities with his grandchildren. Joe walked to all the lakes within walking distance from his home just to fish.

Joe was a member of the Native American Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Rose Descharme; brothers, James "Peachum" Wells and Sammy

Descharme; and sister, Rosella Descharme Belgarde.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Descharme of Tsaile, Ariz .; son, Andrew Descharme of Tsaile, Ariz .; daughter, Georgianne Descharme of Tsaile, Ariz .; four grandsons; two granddaughters Adrea; brothers, Mike Descharme of Missoula and Bill "Charlie" Descharme of Box Elder; sisters, Bertha Descharme and Jean Descharme both of Box Elder.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
