Chester finishes 1-2 at Class C state volleyball tournament


The Chester Coyotes' bid for a Class C state volleyball championship came up short at the hands of the eventual state champions.

After opening the tournament with an upset of Philipsburg on Thursday morning, the Coyotes lost to eventual Class C champion Bridger in quarterfinal action on Thursday night. Chester was eliminated on Saturday in loser-out action by the Saco-Hinsdale Panthers.

The Coyotes started off the tournament the right way with a 20-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-23 win over Philipsburg - the Southern Divisional champ.
