Blue Sky moves atop 9C with win over KG, Rocky Boy picks up a pair of wins

 


The Blue Sky girls basketball team cemented itself atop the District 9C standing with a pair of wins this weekend, including a come-from-behind win over rival KG on Friday night.

The Eagles shook off a career scoring night from KG senior Cady Arifin and overcame a third-quarter deficit to pick up a 66-56 win in Gildford.

Arifin scored a game-high 30 points, including five three-pointers as the KouGars led by as much as 10 points during the contest. However, Blue Sky's defense tightened in the fourth quarter, limiting KG to a paltry 4 points, while scoring 19 points to rally for the win. The...
