Hi-Line United soccer teams score wins

The Hi-Line United soccer teams are coming off solid showings last weekend.

The United have two teams - a Big Sky League (BSL) high school team and an Under-16 squad - competing against teams from around the state.

The United BSL team suffered a tough 4-0 loss to Lewistown's BSL team on April 3. The team rebounded later in the day to defeat Lewistown's U-16 team 5-0. Jake Verploegen scored a pair of goals and Blake Johnson, Richard Jarvis and Zach Crossley added goals in the win.

The United U-16 lost a heartbreaking 1-0 game to Billings' Level 2A team, but rebounded to defeating Livingston's U-16 team 5-2.

Ryan Keely scored a pair of goals to lead the United. Shilo Barret, Drue Ita and Tyler Myers added goals in the win.

Both teams will be in action this weekend. The United BSL team will be in Great Falls to take on Dillon and perennial league champ Livingston.

The U-16 team travels to Missoula to play Whitefish and Missoula's U-15 2A team.
