JOSEPHINE GREEN obituary

HARLEM - Josephine "Josie" Green, 86, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at a Havre hospital.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Harlem High School Gymnasium. Burial will follow in the Harlem Cemetery.

Josie was born on May 2, 1917, at McCluskey, N.D., to

Jacob and Catherine (Fost) Hellman. The family came to Montana in 1917 and lived in the Malta-Chapman communities until 1932, when it moved to Harlem.

Josie married Julius "Juke" Green on Dec. 7, 1933, in the Catholic Church at Chinook. They farmed west of Harlem and lived on the farm until 1952, when they moved to Harlem. Josie...
