Some breaks in the rain allow golfing

With seemingly torrential rains pounding the Hi-Line the last couple of weeks, golf around the area has been limited. But this past week things got back to normal at Beaver Creek Golf Course as summer weather returned to the Havre area.

On Tuesday night in men's golf league action, Hi-Way Bar racked up high-team honors with 24.5 points. Hi-Way Bar is composed of Dennis Kannberg, Dick Hansen, Don Miller and Bob Wehr. Meanwhile, the low round of the night was shared by Tom Adams, Don Miller and Dick Scharfe, who all carded a score of 38. Low net went to Steve Burstock with a 31.

Wednesday night saw a pair of teams share high-team honors - Office Equipment and Valley Furniture with 23 points. Office Equipment is made up of Bob Blazer, Dave Hamilton, Bill Schilling and Andy Carlson. Valley Furniture is composed of Eric Fee, Mike Purkett, Ed Barsanti and Dave Peterson. Larry Morsette and Nick Obie shared low gross for the night. Both players shot 1-over-par rounds of 37. Scott Leeds earned low net with a score of 30.5.

There are only a few weeks remaining in the first half of the regular season. This week Boxcars and Bing N Bob's will have byes on Tuesday night and D.A. Davidson will be out on Wednesday.
