MARY ISABELL (LAMERE) TAYLOR obituary ROCKY BOY

Mary Isabel (LaMere) Taylor,62, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at Northern Montana Hospital of complications from an illness.

Her wake service began Sunday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy. Her funeral service was at 10 a. m. today at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Mary was born Sept. 1, 1945, on Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation to William and Ida (Sangrey) Lamere. She was raised on the Rocky Boy Reservation and attended schools at Box Elder. She worked many jobs throughout her lifetime as a laundress, cook, gambler and mother. Ally, as most people knew her, was a very generous woman who always had an ear to listen, a hand to give and a heart to share to anyone who was in need. She lived in the Shelby and Conrad area most of her adult life, where she finally met the love of her life, George. They shared some wonderful years traveling, dancing and enjoying life. They adopted Cameron as a baby who they cherished very much along with his and her children. Alley enjoyed playing keno machines and visiting with her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Taylor; and one son, Kenneth James Stephens. Mary is survived by her children, Winona (Darrell) LaMere of Box Elder, Deborah (Sherrell) LaMere of Rocky Boy, Travis (Natalie) Stephens of Box Elder, Paul (Janet) Chase of Box Elder and Cameron Read Taylor of Box Elder; brothers, Jimmy Cleland of Rocky Boy, William Paul (Sharlene) LaMere of Great Falls, Daniel Lamere of Rocky Boy, David Lamere of Rocky Boy and Travis Lamere of Great Falls; sisters, Eleanor (Ted) Skinner of Great Falls, Joann Ahenakew (Wilma Corcoran) of Rocky Boy, Kay (Jim) Finley of Arlee and Virgilene (Jr) Raya of Great Falls; adopted brother, Henry (Elvira) Day Child of Rocky Boy; and 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
