Bul lhook Communi ty Heal t h Center's dental clinic in the Atrium Mall has hit another glitch but is about to have a dentist back on staff next week, the health center's executive director said. “We want to make sure it's the right fit for the community,” Cindy Smith said. Smith said the temporary dentist who had been working at the dental clinic, Dr. Ron Ariana, did not seem to fit in with the clinic's operations. After comments from some of the staff and from patients, the health center decided to find another temporary dentist. “He did great dentistry, he just wasn't the right fit,” she said. The clinic's first dentist, Dr. Bob English, left in a mutual agreement with the health center's board barely a month after he started in February. Ariana came in to work temporarily until a new permanent dentist started. Smith said another temporary dentist is scheduled to start work at the clinic Monday, and Matthew Huff, who will graduate from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry this month, will be in Havre the first part of June. Once he receives his licensing in Montana he already has passed the boards, Smith said Huff will begin his practice at the clinic. Bullhook has interviewed three other candidates and is scheduled to interview a fourth to take a second position at the clinic, she said. The clinic has been working with patients to schedule new appointments, Smith said. “We just rearranged the people again,” she said. “Most have been very, very understanding, although some were upset. We want to make sure it's the right fit for the community.”
