HARVEY ANDERSON obituary

Great Falls native Harvey Anderson, 76, a retired Great Northern/Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad conductor, died May 28, 2009, in Yuma, Ariz., of complications from a recent surgery.

Harvey has requested no services be held, and cremation has taken place. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Annette and Alfred Anderson and his son Gary Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Delores of Yuma, Ariz.; daughter, Vicky (John) Holgerson of Great Falls; son, Bruce Anderson (Karin) of Great Falls; and daughterninnlaw, Charleen Anderson of Havre; brother, Helmer (Carol) Anderson of Great Falls; sisters, Dolores (Rodger) Widseth, Great Falls, Alva (James) McWil-liams of Lakewood, Calif.; step-children, Bill Strissel, Dave Strissel of Rudyard, Lana Smeenk, Joshua, Texas; grandchildren, Courtney (Chris) McCloskey, Julie Henderson, JJ Henderson and Andy Anderson all of Great Falls, Tyson and Seth Anderson of Havre, Jake, Matt and Josh Strissel of Rudyard, Ashten, Jayce and Jaydan Smeenk of Joshua, Texas; three great-granddaughters of Great Falls Harvey was born Dec. 26, 1932, in Kevin, Mont., to Alfred and Annette Anderson. Harvey was active military service April 1953 through April 1955. Harvey enjoyed fishing, traveling and took up golf after retirement and always looked forward to a lively game of golf with Charles Genger. Harvey was an avid card player. He was a longtime member of the Eagles Club. He was a very kind and caring person and was loved by all who knew him. He always had a smile and brought a lot of humor to many peoples lives.
