For yet another school year, Havre High athletic programs stood out among Montana's elite. Havre High finished in the Top 10 yet again in the Montana All Sports Trophy race. HHS came in eighth overall with 72 points. The finish was second amongst Class A schools as Billings Central ran away with the Class A race, scoring 103 points. Billings Central had a strong year from start to finish, and it ended with a state championship in boys tennis, pushing the Rams all the way up to second, a remarkable finish for a Class A school. Billings West, after a state championship in boys Class AA track this spring, finished first with 135 points. Three more Class AA schools rounded out the top five. Bozeman finished with 96 points to take third. And Billings Senior and CMR finished tied for fourth with 77 points. Also remarkable was Highwood's finish. The Class C school came in with 75 points to finish sixth overall, while Fairfield was the highest-finishing Class B school with 72.5 points, just ahead of Havre's 72. Helena Capital and Missoula Loyola round out the Top 10, finishing ninth and 10th, respectively. Havre finished in the Top 10 for the all sports trophy yet again, and was given a boost in the last standings by a Class A state championship in girls tennis earlier this month, as well as a second-place finish by the HHS boys tennis team. HHS captured three state championships this season, including a third-straight state title by the HHS wrestling team. On the same day back in February, the HHS girls swimming team won extended its Montana record of state championships as well. HHS also got a stellar fourth-place finish from its girls basketball team at the Class A state tournament, capping off a strong winter sports season. Of the District 9C and 10C schools in the area, Big Sandy finished the highest with 25 points. Chinook scored 18 points and Rocky Boy scored 15.
