The Montana State University- Northern wrestling team has already put together an outstanding 2009 recruiting class. Now, MSU-N head coach Tyson Thivierge has added yet another wrestling standout to the group. Earlier this week, Thivierge announced the signing of Steven Quesada of Silverton, Ore. Quesada is a three-time Oregon state placer, including capturing a state championship in 2008. He also finished second in 2007 and in 2009. "Steven is a high caliber pick-up, considering the vacancy at 133 and will likely be one of the front-runners for the starting position," Thivierge said. Quesada is a product of a former MSU-N alumn as he was coached in high school by former Lights All-American Abel Valdez. "Steven is extremely crisp with his technique and has the work ethic to be extremely successful at Northern," Thivierge said. "We plan on putting him in at 133 and expect a bright future out of this young man."
