JOSEPH J. ZYGMOND obituary

Joseph J. Zygmond, 86, of Havre, died Aug. 20, 2009, at the Care and Comfort Home in Havre of natural causes.

He was born Dec. 21, 1922, to Alex and Olga (Hubert) Zygmond in Havre. He graduated from Havre High in 1941 and began working for the railroad the same year. In 1943, he enlisted in the U.S. Army later proudly serving in The Battle of The Bulge as a tank driver. He was honorably discharged in 1946 as a corporal, returning to Havre where he went back to work for the Burlington Northern Rail road as a material clerk.
