LIBBY FRY obituary

Libby Fry, 81, died Wednesday Sept. 30, 2009, at the Big Sandy Medical Center Nursing Home of natural causes.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday Oct. 3, 2009, at the United Methodist Church in Big Sandy, Mont., with Marvin Eldridge officiating. Burial will follow at the Big Sandy Cemetery and a fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the graveside service. Memorial contributions in Libby's honor may be made to the United Methodist Church, Chouteau County Hospice or to a memorial of one's choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Libby was born May 5, 1928, in Hopp, Mont., to Vaclav and Bessie (Suchy) Silvan. She was raised in the Hopp area and attended country schools, graduating from Big Sandy High School. Libby worked at the Columbus Hospital in Great Falls, Oliver's Grocery and the Blue Moon Caf. She married James E. Fry on Oct. 30, 1954, in Big Sandy. Together they lived on the family farm south east of Big Sandy and raised their son, Charles. She was an avid gardener and raised a plentiful garden and beautiful flowers every year. She loved all of the farm animals and enjoyed embroidery and baking. Libby was a member of the Homemakers Club, Rebekahs, the Big Sandy Historical Society, the Ladies Veterans of Foreign Wars. Auxiliary and the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Fry; sisters: Josie Rorke and Ann Borley; brothers, George and Joe Silvan; and two nephews, Don and Kevin Silvan. Libby is survived by her son, Charles J. Fry of Big Sandy, Mont.; one sister, Mildred Ekenbarger of Yakima, Wash.; and brother, Otto (Betty) Silvan of Big Sandy, Mont.
