MARIAN E. RIDER obituary

Marian E. Rider, 94, of Chippewa Falls, Wis., died, Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at her home in Chippewa Falls.

She was born Sept. 5, 1915, in Devon, Mont., to James E. & Lois M. (DoLittle) Smith. She attended college in Havre, Mont., and taught many years in Havre and Sidney. She enjoyed crocheting and listening to music. She loved to visit with people, and her teaching was a very big part of her life. She is survived by three children, Rosella (Dick) Mohr of Holcombe, Burnie (Charlie) Inman of Havre, Mont., and Donald (Liz) McIntosh of Havre, Mont.; eight grandchildren, Scott Mohr, Sheryl (Randy) Johnson, Brian Mohr, Lynn Mohr, Craig Inman, Chris Inman, Katie (Monty) Valdez and Danny McIntosh; seven great-grandchildren, Trevor Mohr, Kelly Mohr, Marcus Inman, Charlie O'Donnell, Mia Valdez, Natalie Valdez and Ross Valdez; a great-grandson, Colton Mohr; three sisters, June Allain, Joan Fowler and Donna Wingard; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert McIntosh; her second husband, Orville Rider; four brothers, Francis, Byron, Roger and Vernon; and three sisters, Esther Alberry, Ruth Nickol and Rita Raff. A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Chippewa Manor Retirement and Rehabilitation Center Chapel in Chippewa Falls, Wis. Friends could call one hour prior to the service at the Chippewa Manor. The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is serving the family.
