JOHn JacK “RED” VYLASEK obituary

John Jack “Red” Vylasek, 93, died Thursday Oct. 15, 2009, at Northern Montana Care Center.

Cremation has taken place and at his request no services are planned. Red was born May 4, 1916, in Chicago to Mary and Stephen Vylasek. The family moved north of Havre, where they homesteaded and eventually moved to town and lived on the north side. Red left home at the age of 15 and spent several years working in California before entering the Navy in 1943. After his discharge, he started an auto dealership called Radian Motors in Los Angeles. When he retired he moved back to Havre in 1976. Red loved to cook for himself and for others. He also loved to fish and to go dancing at the Vets Club. But most of all he loved making car deals. He was very social and liked to talk. He had a very unique personality, he either liked you or he didn't, and would tell you so. Red was preceded in death by his parents; three wives and all of his siblings, two brothers, Joe and Robert; and five sisters, Ann, Rita, Agnes, Mary and Steffi. He is survived by his many nieces and nephews.
