HELEN ANNIE (BITTERMAN) NASH obituary

Helen Annie (Bitterman) Nash, 85, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister and aunt passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009.

Helen was born in Havre, Mont., Dec. 9, 1923, to Adolph and Annie Amelia Bitterman. She attended school in Havre. In Great Falls, Mont., Jan. 25, 1942, she married Marlin Albert Nash who preceded her in death. They lived and worked in Havre before moving to Ephrata, Wash., in 1954. Marlin owned and operated Nash Janitorial Service in Ephrata for nearly 40 years. They attended Ephrata Assembly of God Church for a number of years. Helen lived in Spokane, Wash., College Place, Wenatchee, Wash., and most recently in Cashmere, Wash., where she passed away at Cashmere Convalescent Center at the age of 85 years young. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert (Bob) Bitterman; her sister, Betty Ann Bitterman; and her son, Victor Charles Nash. She is survived by her children, LeRoy (Lee) Albert Nash of Soap Lake, Wash., Beverly Anne (Nash) Mulvihill of Poulsbo, Wash., and Earl Marlin Nash (Christine (Chris)) of Chewelah, Wash.; her brothers, LaVern (Virginia) Bitterman of Billings, Mont., and Donald (Linda) Bitterman of Havre, Mont.; her sister, Arlene (Donald) Winrich of Madison, Wis.; her grandchildren, Howard Dean Mulvihill Jr. Of Poulsbo, Wash., Sarah (Eric) Bird of Ketchikan, Alaska, MaryAnne (Jory) Nunn of Thorne Bay, Alaska; her greatgrandchildren, Benaiah and Noelle Bird of Ketchikan, Alaska, and Josiah, Anna and Esther Nunn of Thorne Bay, Alaska; and numerous nieces and nephews, friends, caretakers and acquaintances who will miss her physical presence here on earth. A memorial and celebration of Helen's life was held at Nicoles Funeral Home Chapel at 157 C Street N.W., Ephrata, Wash., with a graveside service following at Ephrata Cemetery on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009.
