ROBERT L. DAVEY obituary

Robert L. Davey, 82, passed away at the family home southeast of Havre on Oct. 30, 2009, due to natural causes.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church with burial following in Highland Cemetery with military honors. Fellowship and lunch will follow at the Havre Eagles Club. Memorials may be sent to the Care and Comfort Home, 1204 Cleveland Ave., Havre, MT 59501 or the Havre Food Bank. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook. Bob was born to James and Pauline (Morton) Davey on Nov, 9, 1926, in Helena. He was raised on the family farm southeast of Havre, attended Havre schools and served in the U.S. Army. Bob married his beloved wife of 60 years, Betty Rossman, on Sept. 3, 1949, in Havre. Together they raised six children. He always had time for his family, and they had a good life on the farm and ranch. Bob is survived by his wife, Betty Davey of Havre; sons, Mike Davey and Martin Davey, both of Havre; daughters, Susan (Allan) Leens of Livingston and Carolyn Sheppard, Debbie Keller both of Havre; sisters, Ruby Worstell of Havre and Frankie Bennett of Billings; brother, Richard Davey of Meridian, Idaho; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gregory Davey in 1968; brother, Jim Davey; sisters, Grace Crandall and Jewel Nickey; and daughter-in-law. Carol Davey.
