Jackpot bowling will only be held every second and fourth Saturday of the month. The first and third Saturdays you may enjoy open bowling from 7-11 p.m. for $10 per person plus the cost of shoes. Open bowling is offered every day when Hi-Lines Lanes opens at 1 p.m. They also offer party packages and of course, Ken is there to help with all of your bowling needs. Give them a call at 265-5885 for help. Ken will be holding his oil pattern challenge Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. The cost is $50 and there is a limit of 48 bowlers. Six different oil patterns will be laid down for you to conquer. More information may be obtained from the flyers at the lanes or call them. The PeeWee League will begin this Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. It never hurts to be a little early to register highlights for the first week were: Kaylee Ellingson 64 game. 111 series.; Maddison Shennum 89 game, 150 series.; Leyton Shennum 90 game, 132 series.; Casey Mariani 67, 64, & 131 series.; Caleb Allestad 76 game. 145 series.; and Quinn McDonald picked the 2-7. Most league rules state that a late bowler may begin their game if they are present by the third frame. If they show up later than that they may not bowl that game but may bowl the remaining game or games of the series. A bowler may bowl the first game, sit out the second, and bowl the third also. Be assured, I called National earlier this season and checked out all of the scenarios that may happen on any league night pretaining to these situations. Tammy Omlie threw the women's highs of 217 and 548. Christy Holden had a 529; Terry Wright 506; Lisa Ophus 505; Dianne Watson 201; Corinne DeVries 501; Kristi Kline 505; and Tammy Pozega 503. Eric Bartow hit the men's high game of 260 and followed up with a 651 series. It was only a matter of time before Ken Riska would score big and with a 253 and a 244 Ken had a 682. Ron Turner shot a 608; Don Jones 611; Shawn Mariani 636; Dave Wolf 242, 636; and Jason McDonald a 629. The high four game series of 851 also belonged to Riska. Ron Turner had an 818; Eric Bartow 789; Don Jones 787; and Bob Ingram a 778.
