STEPHEN GOLDEN obituary

Stephen L. “Steve” Golden, 63, a U. S. Navy Vietnam veteran, who worked as the head cook at the Mediterranean Room in the Havre Duck Inn for 28 years and enjoyed reading westerns and watching SciFi movies, died from complications of a stroke on Saturday at the Liberty Medical Center in Chester.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Alliance Church, 925 8th St., Havre. A reception will follow the service at the Antique Room of the Duck Inn. Burial of ashes will be completed at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are by Rockman Funeral Chapel in Chester. Survivors are two daughters, Samantha Gravert of Marion, Iowa, and Suzanna Golden- Green of Chester; two grandchildren; and one brother, Danny Golden of Richland, Wash.
